Having lunch or dinner is already part of our leisure time. When Mark is at school we often have lunch in different Restaurants. That gives us the opportunity to spend some time outside of the house and gives us a short break. For lunch we prefer the "Family Farm" a native Restaurant located at the road which leads to the airbase.. The meals are fresh and cheap, and most of the orders are good for two. During the week, they offer a all as you can eat buffet, which is rich on different food. To much for us, because we do not eat that much during lunch. During dinner time an acoustic band plays songs from the last decades not using amplifiers and speakersystem. That makes it special. Another nice place is the Maribago Grill close to the Beachresorts in Maribago on Mactan Island. There we like to eat the grilled Spare ribs.
Dinner we mostly have at home, together with Mark but sometimes we go out for dinner of course. Where we go depends on which meal we like at this time. For Excample, if we like to have a Steak, than the Restaurant of the Portofino Beach Resort is the first and only choice on Mactan Island for us. The new opened Moon Cafe in in the Gaisano Grand Mall offers some delicious meals too. If it would'nt be that noisy while sitting outside it would be a good choice too. The Steak Medallion in cheesy creamy sauce we get in Dionne's restaurant which is not far from our house.
Most of the restaurants use the mineral water only, so there is no doubt about your stomach. But anyway you should ask before you order.
Tambuli Beach Resort. For 350 Peso ( 300 consumable) you get access to the most silent place on Mactan Island. That's why it is our favorite Place for chill out. The area is very big, we have the choice of 2 swimming pools and a nice not overcrowded beach. Almost like heaven.
The Tavern and Restaurant Dionne’s is our favorite destination to chill out in the evening. It is located not far from our house at the corner of Pajak Bautan intersection. If you see an oversized guitar in the middle of the road you are already there. During the week, while Mary is busy teaching Mark for the next day in school, Klaus like to relax there for a while, while having a coffee.
